ZOOM is the leading homegrown convenience-store operator with an experience spanning over 25 years in the UAE. It originally started under the “Minimart” brand as the first c-store operator in the region with a new modern format as opposed to traditional baqalas.
Few years later, the company acquired the first master franchise convenience-store brand in the region from a leading American operator, which has brought immense wealth of international experience and best practices.
As the UAE continued with its development and transformation into an iconic modern state, ZOOM also evolved into a modern brand name, leading the industry into a new age of customer experience and service excellence.
ZOOM in all its formats, is an upmarket concept in terms of design and fit-out, which was developed with some of the top European brand and design consultancies. The cost of developing new stores exceeds the industry norm, which has been a critical factor to reinforce differentiation. Moreover, operational excellence continues to be paramount.
ZOOM has ambitious expansion plans locally and internationally. The brand has already started operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as the Kingdom of Bahrain, with more territories in the pipeline. As of 2015, the brand operates over 200 stores, and continues to grow at the rate of not less than 3 stores per month.
