Knowledge Without Borders Project

Knowledge without Borders (KwB) is a Sharjah Government initiative instigated to encourage parents and children to spend more time reading. With this in mind, the organisation aims to provide Arabic book libraries for around 42,000 families in the emirate of Sharjah over the course of this year (2016).The KwB was launched as an initiative by HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. It is led by Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Knowledge without Borders organising committee.KwB intends to further cement Sharjah's Reputation as the region's Cultural Capital through its intensive educational programmes, lectures and school and library activities.The unique KwB project aims to emphasise the importance of reading for childhood development and to increase general knowledge within the local community.
