With a vision of an entrepreneur, Mr. Aboobacker Haji single handedly by 1971 started WELCOME TRADING ESTABLISHMENT at AL SABKHA, DEIRA. . WELCOME TRADING was the first store in the sphere with complete range of Watches, Home Appliances and all kinds of electronic gadgets. High Volumes of Sales, Customer Service & after Sales, paved the way to the stores success. With vision to expand his business, he brought his son, our CEO, Mr. ASHRAF ABOOBACKER AL MASKAN. Together son and father started expanding and they opened yet another branch of Welcome Trading at SATWA DEIRA CRESCENT at AL SABKA was yet another milestone achieved with greater success. The business was a boom and by 1993, when Majid Al Futtaim, wanted to bring Shopping Malls, ABOOBACKERs turned their paths and that resulted in an Outlet at Deira City Centre by 1996. Mr. Aboobacker Haji left us many thoughts behind and our CEO has taken utmost care to bring his father’s vision to an everlasting success towards which he has been very successful.
