Baumatic was founded in Italy over 25 years ago by the Ballestrazzi family. Some years later, the family moved head office operations to Reading, UK. Baumatic quickly established itself as one of the leading built-in appliance brands in the UK, according to GFK reports. The company then set its sights on international markets, and started looking for suitable business partners across the globe. New Zealand and Australia were one of the first markets to be established. An agreement was signed with Applico Group, a family run business that has years of experience importing and marketing brands such as Smeg, and Baumatic joined the stable of brands and grew successfully. In Australia, Think Group, established Baumatic as one of the leading brands in Australia, distributing through major retailers, including The Good Guys group. Now the company has been taken over by Home Appliance Group who continues today to grow the brand across the market. Baumatic started establishing satellite offices across Europe, including Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic, entering these markets directly and growing the brand across Europe. Offices were also established in Hong Kong and distribution partnerships in other Asian markets such as Malaysia and Vietnam. Some years on, Baumatic set its sights on the Middle East market. Partnerships were established here with some of the leading companies, such as Awad Badi Nahas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who had an established portfolio of brands such as Miele and Smeg and positioned Baumatic alongside with great success. Bosch distributor, Homewide, also took on Baumatic and quickly established the brand in the UAE and found favour with the construction industry there. Today, our company, Baumatic Middle East Trading has purchased the sole rights of the Baumatic brand and now owns it for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey markets. We have established our office in Business Bay, Dubai, and service the entire UAE market with our retail partners. We have steadily grown our distribution partners outside of the UAE, and have partnerships still with Awad Badi Nahas for Saudi Arabia, and Khoury Home Appliance Group for the Lebanese market.
