Being in the paper business since 1967 has never hindered his path of knowledge and success. Eng. Magdi Botros has started his business as the owner of a paper trading company. In 1973, he established United Import & Export Co., now known as United Paper Industries and started importing all kinds of paper used for printing, publishing & packaging purposes from the most reputable paper mills around the world. In 1980, the company was the sole agent of "Ligna" (The only exporter and paper supplier in Czechoslovakia). Operating in the paper business for so long, the company has succeeded to build a credible and a lasting relationship with all its suppliers and clients. In 1999, the converting factory was established. It is located in 10th of Ramadan city. The factory helped to make tailored sizes of paper thus covering all customers' demands. The quality control on the paper produced helped us not only supply our local Egyptian market but we were able to extend our projects to Africa and the Middle East. Under the name of UPI, a new cut size brand was also introduced to the market with its three grades. United Paper Industries is now rated as one of the leading companies in the field of importing, converting and exporting paper in Egypt.
