Job role

1. Adheres to the station recipe manuals; 2. Ensure that the materials are available and on line in timely a timely manner; 3. Ensure paperwork is filled in accurately and in a timely manner; 4. Control waste in the station. 5. Generates suggestion for continuous improvements; 6. Works in to optimum quality and speed. 7. Prepare products consistently; 8. Ensure that finished plated food meet customer expectation/standard without fail; 9. Act on any quality issues seen anywhere in the kitchen from receiving to sending food orders; 10. Take action as instructed for all out of spec food orders; 11. Carry out line area audits on daily basis. Record non-conformance and inform Kitchen Supervisor immediately. 12. Ensure that clean-as-you-go practices are maintained. 13. Report to Kitchen Supervisor any concerns relating to operation and functionality of food safety measures. 14. Understand the hazards in their area of responsibility and never put owns life or anyone at risk; 15. Never walks away from unsafe action or condition; 16. Adheres to safe working practices; 17. Ensure compliance to relevant policies and procedures; 18. Safety procedures are being followed i.e. knife handling, etc.; 19. Assists investigations as required when accident happens; 20. Report accidents immediately to Kitchen Manager. 21. Attend kitchen team briefing; 22. Ensure reporting of exceptional performance matters (i.e. complaints, accidents) are communicated in a timely manner to Kitchen Supervisor; 23. Carry out start/end handover; 24. Ensure line handovers take place.
