Recent Positive Changes in UAE Visa Policies

After a meeting in the presence of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with the Prime minister and president of Dubai, the cabinet of United Arab Emirates has declared several changes regarding visa policies – not only for residents but also for non-residents. Major changes include the lowering of fees, flexible visa rules and to provide job seekers a great opportunity in country so that they can find a better job for themselves in reduced time.

Recent Policies:

New Insurance scheme:

According to the latest insurance scheme, it costs only AED 60 for a single worker, instead of depositing AED 3,000. Undoubtedly this scheme is really helpful, not only for the employees but also for the employers as it provides rights to workers and lessens burden of employers.

This new insurance policy deals with given below items:

  1. Unpaid wages.
  2. Vacation allowance.
  3. Return ticket of workers.
  4. Allowance for over time.
  5. End of services assistance, etc.
    No entry charges for transit passengers:

    This is such good news for the transit passengers that they are excluded from the entry fees for the first 48 hours. Moreover, they can extend the duration from 48 hours to 96 hours by just paying a small amount of AED 50. In order to obtain the transit visa, one can get it from any of the express counters at UAE airports.

    • No “No entry” stamp in case you overstay:

    If you have received a no-entry stamp, then there is nothing to worry about. According to the new visa policies and rules, even if you over-stay you will not receive any stamp saying “No entry”.

    • Job seekers’ visa:

    There is a good new for the people who are seeking job in UAE. They will get a new temporary visa in order to stay in UAE, the validity of which is now six months. This visa will be free of any charge. It will intensify the pace of professionals and skillful people who really want to work in emirates of UAE.

    • Little consequences for illegal immigrants:

    People who have entered into the territory of UAE, can now leave by just facing little consequences. They will receive a no-entry stamp in order to leave. That particular stamp is limited for 2 years which means that they will not be allowed to visit UAE for next 2 years.

    • “No” to visa runs:

    Another good news is that you do not have to leave the country for the purpose of adjusting/renewing your visa. You can simply do that by paying a small fee.

    • Empowering people:

    One more great decision was made by the cabinet for the people who are really determined towards work. Provision of job opportunities to people have been increased to empower working class.
